I am a master’s student at Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST), School of Mechanical and Robotics Engineering. I work in the Machine Perception and Intelligence Lab (MPIL) led by Prof. Pyojin Kim.

I am most interested in Robust State Estimation and Mapping under real-world and degraded conditions: GNSS-denied, low-visible and transparent environments. My long-term goal is to develop mobile robotic systems with human-level proficiency in decision-making.

Before GIST, I received my B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering in 2025 from University of Seoul, where I worked with Prof. Myunjoong Hwang in the UOS Robotics Lab on object tracking and path planning for autonomous vehicles.

광주과학기술원(GIST) 기계로봇공학과 석사과정생입니다. 김표진 교수님이 지도하시는 Machine Perception and Intelligence Lab (MPIL)에서 SLAM, 강건한 위치 추정, 3D 컴퓨터 비전 — 즉, 이동 플랫폼이 자신의 위치와 주변 환경을 인지하도록 하는 인식 스택을 연구하고 있습니다.

특히 열악 조건(GNSS 음영지역, 저조도 환경, 드론과 같이 빠른 동적 환경, 유리창과 같은 투명 물체)에서의 SLAM 문제에 관심을 두었으며, 이와 같이 장기적으로 실환경에서의 엣지케이스를 극복하고 믿을 수 있는 강건한 이동 로봇 시스템을 연구/개발하는 것에 관심을 가지고 있습니다.

GIST 입학 전에는 서울시립대학교에서 전자전기컴퓨터공학과 학사 학위를 받았으며 (2025), UOS Robotics Lab에서 황면중 교수님의 지도 하에 자율주행 로봇 레이싱 대회에서 비전 및 경로 계획 팀으로 연구를 수행했었습니다.
